After an introduction to this Japanese folk art,we will discuss ways the basic running stitch technique can be used to embellish garments, home goods and quilts. Examples of both traditional Blue & White Japanese sashiko and modern interpretations will be presented.

Beginning and experienced hand-stitchers will discover the creative possibilities and quiet pleasure of this slow-stitching needlecraft
